Liturgical Commission

Our Liturgical Commission is a consultative body that assists our pastor in achieving full, conscious, and active participation of parishioners and Mass attendees in the Eucharist.  We aim to be a diverse group which advises and supports the Pastor on the spiritual and prayer life of our parish community.  We serve the parish by leading and staffing the liturgical committees including Music, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, Sacristans, Ushers, Art and Environment, and the Brittany Park Ministry.  We develop liturgical guidelines and scripts specific to our parish in accordance with the Catholic Church.  We also regularly debrief and evaluate the liturgies to support our quality improvement program.

The 12 members of the Liturgical Commission currently meet 8 to 10 times per year. Our volunteer membership includes parishioners who schedule the above listed committees as well as others who are simply interested in Liturgy.  We train the ministers individually and in group presentations.

As a growing parish, we are in need of additional lectors and sacristans for the September through May, 5 PM Sunday evening Masses. If you attend this Mass or wish to be a part of any of the Liturgical Ministries, please contact Sue Campbell, Chair of the Liturgical Commission.
