Landings

Landings is a program to welcome back inactive Catholics.  It gives them a place to come and air their grievances or find the support and guidance they need to take the next difficult steps.  It consists of a series of 8-10 weekly sessions in which participants gather together with active Catholics.  Individuals share stories and are renewed in the beliefs as stated in the Creed.

Landings is where Catholics who for whatever reason are inactive and are considering returning to the Church can come to reconnect.  learn more about our faith, or share their current or past hurts or fears.  It is a safe harbor to explore the Catholic faith with others who struggle with being the person God wants them to be.

Landings sessions begin and end with prayer.  There is time for stories, as well as discussion about a Catholic topic.  There is time to mingle and build friendships.  The sessions last about two hours.  Information is given about parish ministries, where to go for specific support when needed, good literature about Catholicism, and Internet resources.

Landings is an International program from the Paulist Brothers with stated guidelines for session design.  The facilitating team is trained to follow the standards set by the program developers.  The time with Landings is for discernment, not necessarily commitment.
